I am running to ensure that the State Bar works for you – a State Bar that is transparent,

accountable, thoughtful about how your dues are spent, and engages in activities for the

benefit of Texas lawyers. A strong and vibrant State Bar should be a resource and source of

pride for our members. The bottom line is that we are all better together.

I WILL LISTEN

I will listen to your concerns, your ideas, and your solutions. I am listening now by reading

your emails, attending your meetings, visiting your offices, interacting with you on social

media, reading your websites, and talking by phone. That will not change when I am elected.

I WILL ACT

My service to the profession has been marked by action. Those actions have improved

the practices of hundreds of lawyers. By establishing programs, such as Houston’s Gender

Fairness Taskforce, by mentoring my peers and younger lawyers, and by representing the

underprivileged in our community in order to close the justice gap and increase respect for

the rule of law, I have seen the difference that acting rather than simply talking makes. That

will not change when I am elected.
